| |  The reason that the names appear in the order Lennon McCartney is alphabetical I think, but the Beatles songs were done together and I don't know who wrote the most, or who wrote the lyrics and who wrote the melody, the only way to compare them is to compare the songs written as solo artists Imagine by Lennon is amazing, but I think McCartneys Ebony and Ivory and We all Stand together are too. Lennon unfortunately left too soon so we don't know what his career would have been like but I think all 4 of the Beatles were amazing musicians that left their mark and changed the music world.

I do believe Lennon had the most introspective depth of any singer/composer. Paul McCarney is marvelous too but John Lennon is that rarity that happens once or twice per century. | | | |
