Do you think that genocide can occur in any country?

I've only recently known about genocide and how it can occur, and I've also watched the docummentary about genocide. It's called five steps to tyranny. Heard of it? Well anyway, it's made me think that can genocide happen in any country? I think it can, if there is a powerful charaismatic leader involved, and enoguh people to make it happen. But I don't know, as take the UK for example, as a big population, and I can't see it happening. Anyway what do you think?

This is a powerful topic Jazz. I believe genocide can happen in any country. I believe it can happen WHEREVER there are human beings. No country is exempt...as you said a poweful charismatic leader plus the right socio-economic conditions is all it takes to ignite this type of tyranny.

It is possible in any country I suppose, it would be very difficult though, not only would you have to take over a huge area of land, and gain various supporters, but you would need your own personal vault of money to spend on a war that will never end.
