Serious writing and e how

After about 1 month on ehow, 50 articles to date and not enough money earned to even buy a gallon of milk, I have figured out that e how is not for those who are serious about writing. It is for those who are serious about playing the game and altering their written works to include the most profitable tag words and such. I started writing as an escape. I was naive enough to think that because I was able to publish an article on ehow it meant you needed to create something that was actually worthy of reading. As time goes by, and I have read other ehowers articles, I have noticed that not only is some of the topics garbage but the lack of proper grammar and spelling is unbelievable! Too many of these people are just looking for a get rich quick scheme. I have enjoyed some people who have showed me genuine kindness and shared some very personal stories. But I can't be bothered with researching what the hot topic is or the hot keywords. I just want to write!!!

If you submit these 50 articles to Associated Content, you would at least earn the upfront payment. Plus the $1.50 per 1000 page views passive income. Get more friends to read your articles and your page views will increase steadily. There are a lot of writers who wrote for Helium, got the upfront payments and re-post the articles in AC for page views. In this case, earnings come from both sides. The money may not be a princely sum, but at least it's a guaranteed sum that you can look forward to.

thanks for the tips. the problem i am having with ac right now is them asking me to cite my source. i didn't have any source and i am a little confused. i have written on my experiences with depression and i have been careful to not give medical advice as i am not a doctor but just relaying what i have learned. if i can figure out how to get around this issue, i will be fine. i will submit my articles from ehow. thanks for taking the time to respond to this discussion. i am sure that you are helping others besides myself. i appreciate it!

I understand how you feel. I wrote an article about Purple Star Astrology based on the course that I attended. The problem is that our lecturer compiled the notes in Chinese and summarize the lessons based on 1,000 years of Chinese history. I got a big problem citing sources as many of the books are in Chinese and nobody bothers to cite source from ancient writings. So I search the internet and put down a few websites to support my argument. See if you can search the web and use the webpages which discuss the same topics as your source. Otherwise post your articles in Helium. I dont see a lot of referencing in the articles submitted to Helium. Good luck to your writings.

thanks for your advice but for some reason I feel really intimidated by Helium. I was on there today and started writing but then I went blank. I am considering submitting my ehow work on ac but I am not sure I can being that it was already published on ehow.

I make a full time income off ehow (with part time effort). It's my firm opinion that 1 month is just NOT long enough to judge the potential. It's barely long enough to get indexed let alone rank well to get genuine traffic in. And I say genuine because while ehow members are great as traffic, it's the search engine traffic you need to go after to make money. 50 articles written in one month is great! But you need to give them 'seasoning time' to get a true earning from them. I do not pay any mind whatsoever to my earnings on articles only a month old. It's when they reach their 3rd month that they really show me their earning power. I make thousands writing for ehow so I feel safe in saying ehow IS FOR SERIOUS WRITERS!! :)

thank you for your response. As someone who has been on ehow since January I really appreciate you sharing your experience. It is now April and with 87 articles I am only making around $20 a month. I am sure it is the content of my articles, subject matter that is that is responsible for my low earnings. I wrote about what I know about, thinking that is the rule of writing but obviously there is another formula I should be following.

I am also writing for a site for 1 month not even got a cent. Whatever amount I earned online is just from my blog and mylot. I believe if you have good writing skills, keep writing slowly but steady you'll get traffic and if you succeeded getting your visitors back you'll get success. I just want to tell you keep writing, spend some more time at there, only then decide. I also can share you links of some good sites where I am looking forwerd to get some money...
