Sometimes, I guess it all depends on how good a deal you are looking for and what you are bidding on. I have been on Ebay for years and I have been outbid plenty of times and I won auctions many times. I have had things "stolen" from me in a last minute bid before and that is so frustrating.

Lol. You would not like me then. I am a last minute bidder. Maybe you should take your revenge by watching an item and if you are available at the end of the auction then place a last minute bid. Always bid the maximum that you would wish to buy the item for. Then you can watch all the others struggling to get their last minute bid in at the last second.
I always give off an evil laugh when I win an auction. Reason why I don't bid early for an auction, is that, I don't want the price to creep closer to my maximum limit bid that I want to place on the item.
So I appologise if I frustrate you with those last minute bids. :-)

I don't usually bid on things i will just out right buy them.
I always go to the lowest price because most of the time it's gonna end up the same price even if i had tried to win it on a bid and sometimes it cost even more to try and win the bid then to just buy it now. i am on ebay right now actually lol i am looking up clothes and dog stuff

There is always a trick to bidding.
First of all, reseach the item you are bidding for and the value of it.
If there is more than one of the same item then watch for the final bids so you know how much they sell for.
Set your own limit to how much you will spend on an item.
Target the item you are going to bid on but don't place a bid until the final minute. If you bid too early then you are helping the seller by pushing up the price because others have time to bid on it. You don't want to give other people the chance to win.
When placing a bid, place the maximum bid that you would pay for the item.
Sit back and watch those last few seconds while other try to make the bids.
I have won most of the auctions I have bidded on this way but I do miss out on some items because I stick to my budget.
Sellers would not like me for giving this advise out because it doesn't help them. They like early bidders to raise the price of their items.
