Will you get healthy and clean before you and your hubby try to make babies?

I know I sounded little strange, what I meant is like if you and your hubby smoke/drink, did you stop doing all that before you both try to make babies?

when i made my litle girl my hubby was a smoker.now that my little girl is getting older thats the time he stopedbut even he was a smoker i am glad we have a healthy little brainy girl
