Cane signed the birth certificate

So Cane found out from Chloe that the baby is not his but he signed the birth certificate and says nobody is taking the baby away from him. How do you think that this is going to play out? On the one hand, he has a DNA test that doesn't rule him out. On the other hand, any doctor with a brain should be able to testify in court (if it ever came to that) that the baby was obviously not premature. Does Cane have any parental rights at this point? Probably yes, since he and Chloe are married.
And as aside, did anybody catch the writer's goof? First Cane said that Chloe was 7 1/2 months pregnant and then he said he'd been with her 8 months trying to work things out. He didn't get with Chloe until she was at least 1 -2 months pregnant. Guess the writers weren't paying attention!

I don't know what to think of the whole situation. I feel sorry for Cane but he should be glad that he doesn't have to stay married to Chloe and that Lily is free to be with him now as he loved her so much.

Cane would be considered the legal father of the baby because they are married and he signed his name on the birth certificate. If Billy wants to step up and raise his child he better take action soon. The longer he waits the more likely the judge is to reward him any type of custody. I wonder why Cane is treating Lily so horribly. He has wanted her all of this time so now that he is free I'm surprised they are not back together.

Easy answer, he's treating Lily badly because the writers are stupid!
But just pretending that these were real people, lol, I don't get it either. She found out right before Chloe went into labor, she did everything she could to save Chloe and the baby and she made Billy step up and tell the truth (I'm not quite sure why Chloe did, maybe because she knew the jig was up). What else was she supposed to do? She is right. It wasn't her place to tell him.

yeap, Kane now knows that the baby isn't his. and like you said, he probably might have some parental rights to the baby although it isn't his, since that they are married. and i didn't catch the goof of how long that Kane and Chloe had been together. wow you really pay attention to things like that when that you are watching the soap. lol and the young and the restless ought to be very good to watch next week. Billy needs to step up to bat and claim his parental rights to his baby if he is the father. and i do not know who will wind up with the baby, either Kane and Lily or Chloe and Billy. guess we will have to wait and watch it daily to find out what is going to happen. thanks for posting about the soap.

Normally I wouldn't have caught something about that but they were making such a big deal about the fact that the baby is really full term when it's suppposed to be premature!
