Highway to Oblivion!! | | President Obama has promised to cut the federal deficit by 50% by the end of his first term. I don't know why people stand in awe of this committment since it does nothing but add to our national debt. The real problem with our economy right now is not the job loss or even the federal budget deficit, it is our national debt. In the four years that Obama is president this country is on the fast track to oblivion and the policies of this administration and the democrat controlled congress are speedding up the process. Here is one columnists opinion of this:

Do you believe this downhill spiral can be stopped?
If we do go bankrupt as a country, will we see a civil war or anarchy develop?
My answers to these questions are:
1)Not with the present philosophy of how this can be accomplished. There is absolutely no way to spend yourself out of bankruptcy!
2) Yes, I see anarchy and a civil war in our future and I must say, not very far down the line!

In the left lane you have democrat, in the right, republican, but all still on the same highway traveling the same direction at roughly the same speed and certainty. It is a highway full of on and off ramps, the problem is, we all ignore the off ramps. The off ramps are pretty clearly marked and easy to get on, we just refuse to acknlowlege they are there and continue to look for ways off that don't exist and are convinced "one of the two lanes is better than the other and if we just keep following that lane surely the highway will end". It will end, in a crash.

Ultimately, and saddly, you are right. This country is headed for an appointment with disaster and neither side of the present coin has the answer. This, to me, speaks volumes to 1) more than two parties, and 2)term limits. The main problem I see with both of these is changing people's minds about the present system. You still have a great nimber of people on both parties who would literally vote for a skunk as long as he was a party affiliate and that is where the quandry lies!

The "failed policies of Bush" have now been adopted by this unproven and ineligible usurper who was elected by the Soros and CFR controlled press.
You cannot spend your way out of bankruptcy, and these deficits are meaningless compared to the actual and planned indebtedness of our Nation.
I see attempted anarchy, and a possible revolution in our future.
More importantly, I see us already becoming like the old USSR before it collapsed under it's own weight.
This is deliberate, and it is an attempt to bring us to European-style Socialism and world government with the corrupt UN running things.

I think there is still a little time, but it will require a revolution.
What kind of revolution remains to be seen.

Obama said he is not a George W. Bush and he was correct,Obama has spent in 30 day's more then George W. Bush spend on Iraq,Afghanistan,Katrina in seven year's. What does a screw and Obama have in common they both will hold you down tight.
