Pet hate is having to listen to other peoples conversations on the train !!!

The last time I was on the train I sat opposite a couple, the looked ordinary enough but suddenly his phone went and he start talking to what must of been a friend about soccer and oh boy he was loud and then suddenly her phone went a she was as loud as him and she started talking to a girl friend about everything and anything from make up to food and even tv shows
All I can say is thank god for my ipod, I don't think I could of got it out of my pocket any quicker....
Tell me about conversations you have had the pleasure to over hear ?

Situations like that are annoying at the best of times, but are insanely so when the coversations themselves seem completely pointless.
My two biggest hated ones are people when they're talking about how drunk they got on the weekend - as if it's a skilled talent that they are proud of. Gee... it's really difficult to get drunk... you need to study at college for years and earn a degree to know how to do it. *rolls eyes*.
And the other conversations I despise are the one's that the majority of teenage girls seem to have. Their just so pointless and don't seem to have any substance at all.
