the lady that had eight kids?

she was already ruining the lives of 6 children by not caring for them properly so why on earth she chose to have more is any ones guess, i think she is very irrisponsible

I really feel for the children. What kind of life are they going to have? This lady has no money, no place to live, the house is being foreclosed on. Her parents don't have any money. She knew all of this when she got pregnant. I think she should have waited to have more children. I am tired of seeing her on the news. I don't even watch the news stories about her anymore. I just can't handle listening to everything that is going on with her. I have prayed for her and her family and I hope things get better for them soon.

Okay, her name is Nadya Suleman, or "Octo-Mom". She gave birth to eight children at Kaiser Hospital in Bellflower, California, I know this because I have been to that hospital several times for different medical reasons. She is originally from Whittier, California, and she had six children prior to the eight that she gave birth to. The proper name for having eight children is "octuplets".

There is no husband involved, she had six children, she lived in a very small house if a house it is at all, she lived with her mother and father, she was on disability before she gave birth, she was receiving "financial" or "government" aid, and she worked at a mental health facility. She gave birth to these children via in-vitro fertilization, meaning she had these children implanted into her womb. Now, she only had six eggs implanted at first, but one or two of those eggs split and thus she has eight.

What do I think of all of this? Well, it wasn't right, but since the damage has been done, she has to deal with it. She might not be in her right mind, but knowing Dr. Phil, I think the man is doing his best to help her out.

As for those who were threatening her life and the lives of her children? What is wrong with you people? Go get a damn life! Don't worry about Nadya Suleman, worry about yourselves, because you all obviously have psychological issues if you are all making death threats. This is not your problem, it is her problem. Wishing death on anyone isn't going to make the situation better. Again, what she did was not right, but that is no reason to threaten death on her and those children. She obviously has psychological problems, and those children did not ask to be born. Also, how would you all feel if someone wished death on you?

I am not defending her, hell, I am trying to comprehend this situation just like anyone else, but I have got to admit, that those 8 children making it was a miracle in itself. The first set of octuplets that were born in Texas, one child died shortly after birth. These children are healthier and have made it longer than any other octuplets ever reported in history. She getting a lot of offers from different people wanting to help her and her family out, and she will probably get more as the years go by. I don't imagine that there would be another woman, or family, out there at this time, that would be giving birth to a set of octuplets.

I do not think that what she did was right, by no means was it logical, but now that these children are here, they must be taken care of, and they should not have to be punished for their mother's mistake.

it kills me to know that she is doing this. its a shame. how in the world do you expect to take care of 8 more? its sad .. i really hope someone steps in and puts those children in loving homes where someone can actually take care of them....

The lady is unemployed and doesn't have her own home. She lives in her mother's 3 bedroom house. She has six children, three of which get a disability payment. She wanted a 7th child and I think that is strange. However she had six planted and ended up having another 8 babies all at once. She seems to have a need for many children. I really like children and work as a primary school teacher. I have two sons and would love to have a daughter one day. That for me would be enough. I wish the lady well. Everyone is different and that is one the reasons the world is so interesting.

I think the biggest problem here is that she does not have the finances to care for these children. The tax payers will be paying for them. I don't think she should have done it, but whats done is done. I think they should watch her then take those kids out for neglect. She already was neglecting the 6 she had. It shouldn't be hard.

"Octumom" ... the woman that had eight babies said that she wanted one baby ... at the most two babies. She had all six of her embryos implanted (two of the embryos were twins) because those were her children and she wanted all of them transferred. She said that she had tried for 7 years to get pregant (again). The reason that a lot of people are "up in arms" about this is because it is not fair to the children she already has and for the 8 newborns to be brought into this world if they cannot be properly cared for. We taxpayers are paying for the welfare she gets ... foodstamps etc.

This woman is incredibly naive and thinks all you need is love. While she probably does love her children she says things like she is living off a student loan and a disability payout. You cannot do that forever and it is difficult to raise several children even when you are employed and married. She is single with no man at all in the picture and has 14 children, some of whom have disabilities.

Apparently now the house she is living in is being foreclosed on because her mother is 23,000 dollars in arrears and Suleman is refusing help. The whole thing is perverse in most people's minds. She cannot raise her existing 6 children let alone 14. She says she wanted a lot of children because she was an only child.
