Tried out from recipe book?

Im originally from the UK but now live in Spain, so of course I have been experimenting with the Spanish cuisine for a few years now, and love their way of cooking (well most of it) But I remember, years ago, I had this great Chinese cook book and would pick a very special dish every week and cook it for my husband, we used to have such fun with that. Flaming prawns is the one I remember best, very spicy, lots of different veg and it took me three hours to prepare, but it was worth it!

I certainly have, especially Greek ones. My sister got me a cookbook based on modern Greek recipes. As for success, yes they were, especially Greek style spaghetti, and certain desserts.

I have prepared dishes from different places out of a recipe book before and the food came out pretty good. I made a yummy chicken dish from Jamacia.
