Do you use flea markets as a way to suppliment your income?

We started doing flea markets a couple summers ago. Sometimes it helps us get some extra money, and sometimes it makes enough to covers our costs, plus some. It just depends on how busy the weekend is, and what kind of stuff we have. It can be hard trying to figure out what will sell, and what we should just send over to the Salvation Army.

What we found goes quite quickly, is if you have a pile of magazines. People always go for that. Or pay attention to what people ask for. I work at a craft market at the moment (not quite the same as a fleamarket, I know) and then someone asked for dreamcatchers. We did have one, but it was expensive, unwieldy and about 2 meters long, obviously not too mobile, so I said, offhand to the manager of the stall, why don't I make us some smaller ones? She said, yeah, why don't you? I made two (that was about three weeks ago) and one sold last weekend. So it looks as if I should start making some more...

Right now, we're just selling things out of our house. Make some extra money while getting rid of stuff. I guess it's just another version of a garage sale. lol Although, I'm considering making up some containers with homemade laundry soap, so I can see if people will buy this.
