| | Hi your smart making your own computer. I think you should open it up and see if there is loose wire. | | | | | | | | | | CIOs on Ent Security CIOs share best practices www.EnterpriseCIOForum.com | add comment | | | |

| | That's an AMD AM2 mainboard right? Okay first things first, did you mean usb PORT? Because a HUB is different from a PORT. I'm attaching a picture of a USB 4-port HUB. A hub connects to your mainboard's USB ports. If a usb hub isn't working, check if you have installed the USB drivers for your system. If you're talking about usb PORTS. I think your mainboard has 4 usb ports at the back and two headers for your casing's front panel ports. If the USB Ports at the back are working, and the ones at the front are not working, check the front panel's connection to your mainboard, it's possible the connection to the headers are wrong. If all of your PORTS are not working, go to your system properties>device manager> and check if you have installed the USB drivers properly. If not, just re-install them. If the drivers are properly installed but the ports are not working, try plugging in other USB devices, because it's possible that the one you were plugging in is the one that's defective, and not your usb ports. | usb hub
