I guess there are millions of 360 consoles that encountered this problem. Well, help could be on the way.
According to Aarron Greenberg, Microsoft may have found the problem and is solving it, so the Ring of Death will be a thing of the past.
Lets hope so.

I'm onto my third console now.
My first Red Ringed after about a year and I got a replacement from Microsoft after they brought in the extended three years warranty for RROD.
My second console only lasted about 9 months, before it constantly shut down from overheating.
It didn't RROD though. Very similar issues, but I couldn't get the three red quadrants to show.
My third console is running fine.

Yup.. on my second console now. First one RRoDed after about 8 months. Kinda ticked me off that they sent me a older 360 than I orginally bought. I think they did this to jip me out of a third one... considering they prob won't have to replace this one considering the limitation of the warranty.

I got the RROD last night, and a little googling resulted in me figuring out it was an AV cable issue.
Kinda dissapointing as its an awesome console.
