What do you charge for lessons?

I want to start offering private clarinet lessons, but I don't know what to charge.
My experience: I was in band in school from 5-12th grade, including all-state honor band in 11 and 12. In college I played in the marching band as well as the concert band, and was first chair in both. After college, I played in the community concert band for 4 years. So I have 14 years of concert experience.
The downside is, I have not played in any kind of band for over 5 years. However, I have kept up the practicing, and am pretty sure I could teach beginning clarinet lessons.
What do you think?

Think about how much you can or are willing to teach in a time frame of maybe one hour. Then think of a price that would make your lessons worth it to continue doing, but don't charge a price which would be ridiculous (ie. $1000 for 15 min). You said you have experience so charge a little extra but not too much because you want clients. Maybe you could set up different lessons for different prices (ie. 5 lessons for $60, 10 lessons for $110, etc). What do you think?

That is a good idea. I especially like the 5 lessons for $60, 10 for $110. I am hoping to get three or four students a week. I don't need a ton of money, but I want some spending money. LOL My husband took a paycut for his new job and our "extra" money is gone. sigh. At least I have a fairly marketable talent.
