background check from Staffing agency

I came across a temp today from my work. She told me that her agency charge her $35 from her first pay check, because they conducted a background check on her previously. That is a rip - off deal, because you can conduct a background check on anyone on the "Intellius" website with a price of $14 or less. Don't you think that is a fair deal?

wow, they charged on to the person. That is crazy. Recently I too have a back ground check with Hireright, as I am being employed by a company. Hopefully they don't charge on me istead. That is so insane ..hmmm
