How Often do you Fail to Prove That you are a Human?

You caught me there! I think these CAPTCHAs are meant for that only! LOL. And let me tell you they have successfully proved that I am not a human. For how many times? I cannot remember. Specially those double figurative CAPTCHAs? They have bowled me time and again. And you would be surprised to know that I can never get it right the first attempt while logging into Myspace these days! May be, I am being reduced to some kind of metamorphosed version of human being.

It's good to implement Captcha to block out the unwanted bots and scripts, but it has to be done in a way that does not hinder the user experience and convenience of the visitor. After all, visitors want to see what you have to offer, and not to enter Captcha characters. I don't see a need to use double words Captcha, when it can be done by entering numbers. Is there a difference in identifying humans who can enter characters or numbers? No. So I think turing numbers can be used in place of the characters.

My success rate with them is about 50 per cent.

While I don't like them... they have become a necessity against spammers who use bots to do their dirty work.

Evey first attempt absolutely failed and never passed the first given CAPTCHA. Got to re-type the next one, and by percentage for second trial is 70% successful. Meaning that, 3 out of 10 still failed. That's right, lately many sites provided Dwi-CAPTCHAs for their security level reason, they said. From my operating data, seems like I am not a perfect human; 30% robot and 70% human; I think!.

Usually I get the CAPTCHA within 2 attempts. If I can't get it I get frustrated and, depending on how much I want to be on the website I leave or try again.

Oh I know, I also hate doing so but I guess may be for the site owners its important stuff.I do have a success rae of 80% with them and many times it takes only two attempts to make it corretr. I find them silly and just an hinderance too. I guess there muat be some automated softwares out there too which can break them too as many people say they do make money out of these sites by using such softwares. I get bored with PTC too sonn, as you just keep clicking over and over again and nothing else to do. I wonder howmany people actually read these ads and click the site links too.

I know exactly what you mean. Some of those are not words by any stretch of the imagination. What gets me are the ones that have all kind of squiggly lines running through them at all kinds of angles and the letters actually are on top of each other in some way. These I always fail. I have had one site that I actually tried and failed four times before getting it right. Not only did I prove to be human but sub human. LOL I realize the importance to security and the need for something but these things are really stupid and a paid in the rump.

I normally do not fail to prove I am human. The only times when they fail to acknowledge me as a human is when the site is having some issue recognising me. It is a signal that the site is going down... computers do break down too and I hate it then.

I must then be robot, because they never work for me. I do like the new ones with the two words. I seam to be able to work with them.
