Just wondering (again)...How many families still sit down and eat together?

We do most of the time. With the exception of Friday nights, my husband is on a bowling league, we eat dinner at about 6-6:30pm together. We are running out of room at the dinner table so we will need to get a bigger one soon....we put my sons highchair up to it and it takes a little bit more space than expected. Lol. Soon we will be eating earlier though because my oldest son, 8, just joined the football team and practice is 6-8pm so we will have to eat a bit earlier on those nights. I remember when I was younger we all used to sit at a table and eat together every night...just about. My neighbors though dont ever seem to do it. Not sure why, they all have tables?!?! Guess they are just for show!

Well, there are 6 persons in my family,my parents,my two elder sisters, and one elder brother. And my parents are at our hometown, and we four work in different places, that's to say,we can hold a family reunion or sit down and eat together until all of us have holidays.Only the New Year's holidays we can stay together. it's really hard for our whole family to be together,so each holidays i will try to go back home

Hi callahanb. We are only three in my family and we always see to it that we eat dinner together. Weekends are the best because we get to dine together for all meals. Thanks. Have a great day!

we still sit down for family dinners. to us it is important family time. the only time we do not eat at the table is on fridays when we usually use tv trays because that is our family movie night.

my family eats together every sunday for all meals. breakfast, lunch and dinner. that's because for the rest of the days, i tend to to earlier. my parents come home much later and i'd usually be way to hungry to wait for them. So i'd cook dinner, and eat my share and keep the rest of hte food hot for them.

We do. Since me and my son would be leaving in the morning, it won't be possible for us to have the breakfast together. But in the nights we eat together. If we both play some sports (mostly shuttle badminton) outside, my wife will just wait for us to come home. Then we all have our dinner together. I've told her not to wait for us if she feels hungry. But, she waits. (Really embarrassing for me. If we end the game in the middle, my son feels upset and if not my wife waits hungry. Oh...)
