car battery retailer in manila: a good or bad idea for a business?

my friend is planning on starting a business. he says he'll need roughly 50thousand pesos to become a car battery retailer. you know, those shops that sell car batteries and recharge them as well. i never knew they made good money. my friend says they do because the car battery retailers he knew of never went bankrupt. is this a good idea? do you know of anyone who is also a car battery retailer in the philippines? how much do they usually earn per month?
