|  gee wiz I suffer from heart burn and well my insurance will not allow my doctor to write a prescription of the pills that work before we go through this long list of other pills and I have to be on the pills for 3 months before moving to the next one and I am so sick of suffering from heart burn to the point that I throw up! I was up all night with it and it seems no matter what I eat I get heart burn it sucks ! any one else suffer from heart burn!

i am so sorry to hear that you were up like that last night suffering from heart burn. it does suck to be bothered with heart burn, and it sounds like that you have it often. so sorry. i do suffer with heart burn, usually when that i eat something fried or when that i eat something spicy. i will usually just go to the store and purchase myself some kind of pill, like tums or pepto bismol. maybe the Doctor can find a prescription that works for your heart burn like that you are having. they advertise that purple pill, i think that the name of it is Nexium or something like that? not sure, has your Doctor put you on that kind of medicine for your heart burn before? thanks for sharing. well i hope that you feel lots better really soon and i also find that drinking loads of ice water will also help with the heart burn.

| |  I suffer from occasional heartburn but nothing this chronic. Fortunately I am still able to use fruit salts/antacids or bubbly mineral water to relieve the symptoms as they still work for me. These are quick fixes, a friend of mine chews on a spoon of aniseed and says it works wonders. The problem is that sometimes one thing may not give heartburn one day but do so on another. Luckily I know what gives me heartburn, certain types of coffee and fried food as well as certain foods that are very rich or contain things like cream/tomato/cuttlefish and of course toast or bread mixes that have margarine/oil/butter included if eaten warm are terrible so I try to avoid them but it is not always possible.
I do hope that you feel better soon.

| | just about everything gives me heartburn I have ulcers and man they are a pain so really just about everything gives me heartburn that little purple pill is that one I am working up too I take ulcer medication but it does not alway work for the heartburn! | | | |

| |  It is sad that you cannot get what you need. I am sorry that you are having to suffer. It sounds like you might have something more than just heartburn going on. Insurance can be a pain.

I think this insurance is awful, so mean while you could be dying, what a supid rules, I have heartburn sometimes so I chew fresh mint, it really works, but I really think you should talk to your docto5r first.

Well we are two of a kind, my real name is Marie, but my Mum wanted to call me Tamara and just ended up being called Marie because my grandmother on my dad's sid is French and that was her name, then when I firt join Mylot a friend of mine said why don't you use the name Tamara? so here I am and I do lve the name and some of my real friends calls me Tamara anyway.
