I agree, I dont think it is a flag, as there are no stars on it, but there is a crescent moon, which is a symbol of islam, so I am wondering why there is any symbol but the American Flag, as you stated....I am really starting to get worried now!

It might be the red cross one, that is why I was asking, I was hoping it was something like this! Thanks for clearing that up for me I was a little nervous! I am so glad you responded with that...Wonder why they have the red crescent moon symbol, for them? I believe the red crescent serves the same purpose as the Red Cross. It is a sign in Muslim countries that the vehicle serves humanitarian purposes, not combat. My guess is they use the crescent because Muslims don't recognize the cross.

I am sorry for getting everyone worked up, I just had never seen it before and wasnt sure...I got worried, hope everyone can understand based on what has been happening lately in this country.

No worries. I would have been upset too at seeing a Muslim symbol on an American military vehicle. As it is I'm not really thrilled about it. But I don't want military doctors and staff mistaken for combat soldiers.

Because those vehicles were used in Iraq and Afghanistan in the treatment and transport of the wounded.

Look at it this way: that crescent is probably responsible for saving the lives of thousands of wounded soldiers and Marines.

No one is more concerned about Muslims taking over my country than I, but in this instance I think there is nothing to be concerned about. The red crescent isn't any more religious than the red cross.

you're right thats probably why, thank you so much for clearing that up.. I guess I am, as plenty of Americans are, pretty sensitive about this at this time..lol..but again, thank you for clearing that up, and you two are probably right, they probably are being prepped for that!
