Have you ever used peroxide in your white wash?

I have heard the same thing but have not tried. Isn't that what oxy clean is? It sure would be cheaper. You can buy peroxide at the dollar store 2 for $1. I used to put in a spray bottle mix 1 part peroxide and 2 parts water and spray on hair occasionally and it would be a nice highlight.

a friend of mine had some blood on her blouse & her nurse told me to use peroxide on it to get the blood out but it didn't take it out. i washed it again & used bleach & it came out fine.

I have never tried peroxide, but I do use white vinegar. I have to wear a white jacket at work at the pharmacy and it gets dirty from leaning on the counter all the time, and the collar turns yellow from rubbing on my neck and getting hairspray on it .. the vinegar takes the yellow right out! So I tried it on my boyfriend's karate gi and it took the sweat stains out of it. Just dump a cup of white vinegar in the wash with the detergent and wash it like normal. I put some fabric softener in, too, so my clothes don't smell like vinegar, or you could throw in a dryer sheet in the dryer.:D

I have never heard of using peroxide in the wash... although I have heard of vineagar... I dont know if I am willing to try it in there unless I read that others have and that it works... after all they have it in toothpaste now to whiten teeth...LOL

i have never heard of putting peroxide in with the white laundry like that before. hum, i guess that it wouldn't hurt it any. and peroxide is lots cheaper than the bleach is. i usually purchase items like that at the Dollar General Store, and they used to have the peroxide for two for a dollar, but just one day last week, i went to purchase another bottle of peroxide and it had gone up to sixty cents for a bottle of it. so it is no longer two for a dollar at the Dollar General Store. i haven't checked the price of peroxide lately at Wal-Mart. but i think that i will sometime soon have to try using the peroxide in the white laundry instead of using bleach.

no I haven't done it I hear it is good for whitening clothes but I really do not know

I've never used peroxide in the wash before. I've actually never heard of that to be truthful. But I have used peroxide on a few carpet stains before so I think it would be safe for laundry.

Actually I've never heard of doing that. I'll have to try it sometime just to see how it works.
