Buddy Holly Cured My Migraine..................and He's DEAD! LOL

For the past week, I've had one of the worst migraines I've suffered in some time.
Started about the time the hubs came home.................nevermind.
Anyway, last night I was about ready to tear my head off and bury it in the hole next door. The only thing that stopped me was the fact that ground is now too frozen to dig in. lol
Now when I'm feeling really really antsy for one reason or another, I dance.
Last night it was too cold to get out under my pines.
BUT, she said, as the light bulb blew out in the table lamp..........I have the house to myself! So out came the Buddy Holly CD's and up went the volume. I discovered a long time ago (when the boys were teenagers) that if I put cello tape over my ears, I can still hear the music but the sound is not pain inducing..........
And I danced.
Broke the skin on my knees a few times on the sharp edges of my glass coffee table, but I danced. And wonder of wonders, Buddy Holly even had me............wait for it...........SINGING along! Thank god the dog was outside. lol
By the time I had listened to my CD's over and over (I lost count after midnight), I was ready for bed and headache free. I slept like a baby and woke up this morning with delightfully skinned knees and a song in my heart.
Do you think my 'cure' will catch on, or will the Buddy Holly foundation appropriate it for their own?

Sometimes my migraines are so bad I could quite happily cut my head off
I like Buddy Holly so perhaps I shall try that next time! I'll try anything once
The kids are used to me dancing around the house so don't need to worry about looking daft!
Think I'll steal my daughters ear warmers rather than stick cellotape on my ears! lol

Hey Sparks, I'm a firm believer in music/dance therapy. It's gotten me out of some of my deepest depressions, it's popped my back in place, cured headaches, induced serious weight loss (60 lbs worth), increased my self-esteem, and last but not least I'm positive it's the reason I'm not in a wheelchair yet.
Doesn't matter what the music is as long as you enjoy it. Music and dancing produce help your body produce endorphins, great little natural pain killers!
I'm very glad your migraine is gone. But may I suggest, move the darn table next time!

That'll be the Day Sparky! I'm pleased that you're feeling a bit better and if it works for you then why not! he usual advice for migraines is to lie down in a darkened room. Seems to me that you will need to do that after the migraine not during! LOL.

I tried the darkened room thing...it usually works, but I think my hormone levels are messing with tried and true previous 'cures'. Glad to find that music truly does sooth the 'savage beast'! LOL
