Were you unlucky as I was this Friday the 13th, 2009?

Let me tell you, things did NOT go according to plan today.

I went to the library today at 9:30AM, and i've had everything with me when I left home for there. I had my wallet, my keys, my cell phones, my netbook and chargers, my external hard drives, everything but the kitchen sink. The library was the only place that I can think clearly, but even in here I wasn't so lucky at all.

One of my two cell phones, my Nokia Tracfone that acts like a poor man's PDA, fell right out of my pocket just before I went Ito a new spot. I didn't notice it until after I came from the bathroom. I felt bloated, so I had to leave my devices hidden for no one to see and/or steal. When I got back, I went through my pockets and noticed that my cell phone was gone! I looked deep in my bookbag for it, and it wasn't there! I was in panic mode by then and was asking a few people where it was.

I was supposed to eat out today at Red Lobster, but because I lost my Nokia Tracfone, I felt that I couldn't leave until I found it. That was my punishment for my neglect: I couldn't go out to eat until I found the phone. So much for a good day as such.

I was just about to give up, and I felt drowsy, but an idea struck me. I went back to the first spot from this morning, and looked under the chairs and under the table, and I suddenly noticed a black object on one of the chairs I sat on.

IT WAS MY NOKIA TRACFONE!!!

God, i'm so scatter-brained.

I thought I lost it for good, and it was the SECOND TIME THIS YEAR that I lost my damn cell phones! The first was when my Nine West holder strap broke and a street janitor found it and called my older sister.

How ironic that on an unlucky day as this, I had a bit of blind luck and bad luck lumped into one. I'll have to find another way to watch over my stuff more carefully next time.
