how is your relationship with your mother in law?

my mother in law and i get a long great. we share a lot of the same points of view, so that makes it easier. even when we don't, she is the type of person that will listen when you talk. even if she doesn't completely agree with you. i am the same way. i will take the time to hear what she has to say, even if i don't like it.

My mother in law and I get a long very well. At first I guess I was a bit antsy around my fiance's parents as I wasn't sure how to act, and I was very shy. Now I don't have any problems with his parents, and I respect them both. Not just my mother in law but my father in law too. My mother in law is helping my fiance and I a great deal on planning for our wedding, she's helping us be the wise voice in it all as we're both excited. She's also helping us to keep it presentable so as to not offend anyone. I think my fiance and I have both gotten a little tense about some of the things, but we also know that it's the best thing to do, so we don't complain but for a minute, lol! No, they take care of us very well, neither my fiance nor I have a job because of the economy, and his parents understand that. They are letting us live here, and even after we get married they are going to let us live here.

I grew up in a family that always taught me right from wrong, and my manners, my fiance and I grew up in much the same way so I don't really have to worry about offending anyone because of the way I was raised, and the way my fiance was raised.

My relationship with my mother in law is okay. I would say ph7. This is because she is living in another state about 4 hours drive from my state and she seldom comes back. She is working there and has an apartment there as well. so whenever she comes back my husband and I and my sis on laws would go out for meals with her and sometimes she would just pop over at our place to chat and catch up on things. Normally I would just be a listener when they gather to chat. Would chip in a bit here and there that's all. but I am glad for one thing is that she is living in another state and my husband and I have our own place. We don't live with either of our in laws. So we can run our home the way we want it to be run and also the house rules.
