Well i believe it all depends on the person, for instance, i am a techie, ive been working with technology since i was a small boy i think i was responsible enough by your age to have a cell phone but i do think that it would be best on a limited account with the pay cards, if your the irresponsible type or the clutzy type, or even the person that looks at a computer like its science fiction i would say wait till after you get an MP3 player or something like that maybe a walkman... anywho i hope this helps answer your question its best for your parents to decide but if your uncle got you something like that either he knows you well enough to know you can handle it or he's trying to get you something you dont have.

I think there is no such thing like what is the most right age to have a mobile phone. It is all depends on the child. If the parents think the child can have a mobile phone for emergency usage then I think there shouldn't be a problem. In my opinion,I think parents play important role in deciding whether to give their child a mobile phone at young age.
