Phantom Smells  

Well, it happened to me once, that i've sensed another presence in a room while i was alone. It was strange. but maybe it's just my imagination

I don't drink alcohol. I don't like it and it sends me to sleep. Consequently I have none in my home. I do use white wine for cooking purposes sometimes though.

However I occasionaly smell red wine. Goodness knows from where this smell comes from and the windows are closed. I do not think about red wine when this happens. It's not that often but it does happen.

I think I once read that 'oranges' is the smell associated with brain tumour. Is that correct?

I have a phenomenally excellent sense of smell and that's not always good. It's probably my best sense and I can smell things that no-one else in the house can smell. I suppose it would be handy in the case of fire.

The only smell which remains totally unexplained was the night after my mother died. I could smell strongly perfumed flowers. It was the middle of Winter and there were no flowers in the house and nothing was in bloom in the garden. The next day I searched the garden just in case there was some blossom out somewhere. There was nothing. Strange but true.
