Led Zeppelin VS. Guns N' Roses!!!  

Now I'm a fan of both bands, but I have to say...Led Zeppelin is by far the better band. The lyrics, the guitar chords, the beat.... Guns N Roses is definitely a great band, and November Rain is one of my favorite songs, but it can't compete with Stairway to Heaven or Ramble On or The Battle of Evermore.

I think led zep is way better than guns and roses. Have you heard new gnr? SO BAD!

I was told by my father that when I was in my mothers stomache he used to listen to led zep and I would start kicking like crazy.

Led Zeppelin, No Question. But personally im not the biggest fan of either band, but their both good.

Led Zeppelin with out a doubt while i love both bands. GnR is in some ways a one trick pony. yea they got the hard rock thing down but they let the high of rock take over and they lost sight of what is real. led zeppelin not only excelled in rock but were able to transcend folk blues jazz bluegrass and even include many orchestral elements to their songs. with GnR yea they had slash but for they most part they had very basic songs due to very basic musicians. but zeppelin had 4 amazing musicians in their own right and put together they were able to truly shine and create original thought provoking music.

I'm not surprised to see that nobody chose gnr. Led Zeppelin is the clear winner here as far as I'm concerned too. I heard (actually read) a comment by Percy, he said. "It is not that we are the best, it is that we are just so much better than whoever is number two". I love this comment, and use it often! It certainly applies here to this discussion rating an average rock band to the mighty Zeppelin.

It's Led Zep man. Jimmy Page is the greatest gutiar player for me. They can make a song start in one direction and end on another. They're just so dynamic in making music. Page and Plant is like the Lennon and McCartney of the 70's.

Well, I grew up with Guns N Roses's Paradise City, Sweet Child O'Mine, Patience and many more. But in my college years, I come to know Led Zeppelin. And I must say, the band really really blows me out. Not only their great songs like Stairway, Whole lotta love, Houses of the holy, Kashmir etc, but also the journey, the intrigues in the band's life -starting from their birth, the creation of inspiring albums until today, the bad relationship with the press, the knock out loud concerts in their time and the departed of their loving drummer.
I think Led Zeppelin is the best and some of their works maybe an inspiration to Axl, Slash or Duff Mckagan. I still follow Led Zeppelin's news and reports in the magazine or papers. For Axl n friends, I guess I'm lost. I just heard they have released new album titled Chinese Democracy.

Although they are both great bands, it has to be Zeppelin. Zeppelin are one of my favorite bands after all, never heard a song that I didn't like and are just brilliant. and even though I love Slash I think Page is a much better guitarist.

I love GnR, but Led Zeppelin is a better band musically, they had a chemistry that I think if GnR would have followed, they would have been alot more successful, especially going into the 90's, but Led Zep all the way!!

Unlike the comparison to The Who, this is a far easier decision when choosing Led Zeppelin. Their music is more thoughtful and emotional. It's not party rock, which is what I believe Guns N' Roses performs, though they do so effectively. There's just more depth with Led Zeppelin, easily.
