Is Family Guy better than The Simpsons?

No, in fact Family Guy seems a bit lame to me, though American Dad is funny if you have seen that but lacks the wit and irony of the Simpsons

I think they both have their merits! We're talking two completely different types of humour here too. I enjoy both of them just as much as each other, but I've watched the Simpsons for close to 20 years now, so would probably tend to lean towards them a little more as my ultimate favourite. Family Guy too is very funny and pushes the boundaries on so many more levels than the Simpsons and I do love that aspect of it. Unfortunately it's not a show that I get to see where I'm living now though, but the Simpsons are on daily.

I have nothing against The Simpsons but i find Family Guy a lot funnier. Every character in Family Guy has a funny story to tell. The animation is pretty good too! The punchlines, plot, etc, they're all funny. Everything about Family Guy is so damn funny. I just can't get enough of the Family Guy. I can watch it everyday without getting tired.

Well, for me both are really nice and funny.

I am gonna go with the Simpsons. Family guy is funny sometimes but sometimes I find the humor offensive. I never had this problem with the Simpsons. I have been watching it for 15 years and I still love it.

I like both it depends onthe mood i am in, I mean family guy is funny and more adult then the simpson are so i cant watch them with my family where i would not with family guy.

Family Guy makes me laugh occasionally, but they never have, and never will, put as much intelligent thought into an episode of Family Guy as they put in one of The Simpsons, or even South Park. I can watch Family Guy and let myself laugh at the stupid stuff they do, but it's random and chaotic, with jokes coming out of nowehere and having nothing to do with the characters. The Simpsons, though not as good as it was, is still, on a bad day, 10 times as intelligent and well-written as Family Guy.

Um, can I say "Are you cracked"? The Family Guy better than the Simpsons? I may have to lynch you. There is no, and I will emphasize NO, animated television series that is better then The Simpsons. I have watched them since 1989 when they were an animated short on the Tracey Ulman show and have only missed two episodes when they were first broadcast (I have since seen then of course).

The Family Guy is a good show, don't get me wrong, though it has some very stupid episodes if you ask me. Not that the Simpsons haven't a stupid episode. I can pretty much guarantee you that the Simpsons will outlive Family Guy.

Family guy is so much better than the simpsons. I find the simpsons was better when i was younger whereas Family guy is a bit harsher with its comedy.

I think that the Simpsons are funnier even though Family Guy and American Dad have other kinds of jokes and schemes.
