We live on a small ranch which has a creek through it and we found a bone, it looks like it's a human arm bone. It's the week end and our sheriff's office isn't open on the week-end. They don't want us to call the 911 number unless it's an emergency. So we marked the place where we found it and put it someplace safe. Then we went back to the house and started thinking about what would happen when we reported it. We have had many Indian bones show up in this Valley, that means the state steps in and they do a formal dig. This means a lot of people coming around for a long time. Then of course it could be a more recent death, again the place is searched for the rest of the body and this will give us more unwanted attention. What to do? Well we felt that we had to contact someone as soon as possible. And went to bed. Monday we went to get the bone and found the creek in flood, there had been a warm wind in the mountains and a large snow melt. All was gone even the safe place we put the bone was flooded. Now what, report it or not? You guess

Now its safe not to inform as you dont have the bone to show off either. But as soon as you saw you should have informed as who knows it might have solved the mystery & caught the culprit.Who knows the culprit might have been one among you?

We call that 20/20 hind sight. meaning if only we knew then what we know now. just have to hope it washes up on someone else beach.

Okay, that's super creepy. Almost CSI like. So how many digs have been conducted on your property to date?
