A lot of my ancesters came from Ireland many years ago and my surname is Irish.I am cooking corned beef and cabbage or dinner. What about you,do you have Irish ancestry? Are you celebrating? Are you fixing Irish recipes? HAPPY ST.PATRICKS DAY!!!!

i guess it's just preference.. you'd laugh at the yuk faces i get at the mention of cabbage tho. jeez..it's really not that bad. maybe it's the occasional side effect they're worried about

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too. My paternal grandfather was born in Ireland. Although my paternal grandfather has some Scottish ancestry, it goes back to Ireland. So, my father's side is pretty much Irish. I don't really do anything special for St. Patrick's Day. But I do wear something green, try to decorate a little, and remember my ancestry.

I think that I have Irish ancestors, from way back. I've never cooked Irish, but always loved cabbage. Just the other day, I was contemplating boiled cabbage and thinking how good it would taste. Guess that's some of my Irish heirtage peeking out. Peek-a-boo! Happy St. Patricks Day to you, too!
