Hello cow...

Long drives, they are only fun for the first hour or so after that...boring! There is only so much you can do in a car for hours and hours. We used to put the Ipod on shuffle and play at guessing the next song. Someone I know used to play “hello cow" which entailed calling out hello to a herd of cows and counting how many look up...I know...I would rather stay bored!
What do you do during long trips? Do you play games? Do you fight with the kids? How do you handle long trips?

Well normally when I am going on long drives I am normally on a bus so I have more options adn normally there are amny people .So we start out talking and then singing and walking up and down in the passages.Sometimes we look outside and talk about the things we see there and play games like you but I think the major past-time is talking and listening to music

Bus rides may not be as boring as long drives and music is a must! Next time we go away I will connect my Ipod to the car and listen to my favourite stuff; I must buy a chord for that...Travel games are good but I get car sick after a while!

we play the love bug game you know when you see a vw you kinda lightly hit someone and say 'love bug' or whatever

That's a good one! I haven't tried that one! My daughter loves the vw cars and I did too as kid I used to call them the cars with the hunch...Go figure, it made sense to me at the time! I now have another game for my list, thanks

We use to play slug bug. If you saw a volkswagon bug, you slugged the person you were with, who saw the car first did the slugging. One ended up with a sore arm, lol.
We also looked for different license plates than Wisconsin(the state we live in)

You are very welcome. Ever try playing something like bingo, there are games you can get when traveling. You put down a disc for everything you see as you are traveling.
