jennlk84 had answer that .. this is what i feel ,time is fixed, but sometime you will feel times go slower or faster ,sometime you might think new year coming soon just like happened yesterday.

Before einstin proposed his theory of relativity it was assumed that space and time are fixed. Space can't expand or contract itself and rate at which time passes is fixed. But einstin by his theory made all scientists to think over rate of time passage. According to his theory when object tends to fly near or beyond speed of light, time slows down for him relative to person at rest. So for all bodies on earth which fly at this speed do experience this phenomenon, but it's very rare as nothing on earth travels with this speed. So on earth this phenomenon is likely to be not exist. But as you say that sometime time seems to be passing faster or slower its completely different having no relationship with einstins theory. Its very simple to understand. If your brain is very engaged in doing something then your intention will be very less towards time and you will feel that time has passed fastly. On the other hand, if you are free and you want to go to your friends home at 6 pm then you would be eagerously waiting for 6 pm then obviously time will seem to be going slower for you. Its completely psychological. But note that time it not fixed in space as you said in your comment.

Hmm I guess I'm not 100% sure what you're asking. I agree though that sometimes time seems to go by fast or slow usually when you don't want it to. lol I think it's mostly because you're either bored or thinking about the time too much. Because no matter what time is always going at the same rate.

according to Elbert Einstein's Theory of Relativity, i guess that when you feel time going fast, you must be sitting or laying. and when you are walking or running, you must feel time becomes slow down. *_^hahahaha
