(and reccommend you seek some mental help or talk this out with a parent, your sensei, or spiritual adviser if any) In a match, the fight is coached, regulated, and supposed to be NON_LETHAL. if you kill another human being, and they are NOT trying to kill you, but compete in a sport, this is considered MURDER.
If you face someone trying to harm you, then you must only use enough force to EVADE or escape them. If escape is impossible, then survive. nothing more. Break bones, disable them, kill only if there is NO OTHER CHOICE!
If the other person has a knife, and you feel inconfident in your skills enough to be unable to defend yourself, then do what the assailant wants.
also, NEVER ARGUE WITH A PERSON WITH A GUN!
EVER!
they can pull the trigger faster than you can set up to kick or punch them enough to sotp them from seriously harming, or killing you.
talk this out with someone adult you trust, and use common sense before even thinking of killing or seriously harming ANYONE!
25 year to life, gettign yourself injured seriously or killed, or possibly a death penalty for killing someone is NOT worth 'looking cool'.

gyouswe911 (106) | 10 months ago | Ha ha! I like this response. Thanks. I just asked if its possible for me to kill someone in a sparring match in Taekwondo and you've given me situations and how to handle them. Also, if ever I did kill someone in a match (like kicked my opponent in the chin so hard that it broke his neck) then that would be considered an accident especially in a sport wherein players are fighting.

And you might be surprised how good coroners are at telling the difference between an accident and murder or manslaughter. Talking about it here or elsewhere in the way you have could also escalate the charge to premediation. Please learn respect for other humans before you learn how to injure or kill them.

Knowing the power, accuracy, and impact some taekwondo jins and practitioners can deliver, hitting an opponent in the right spot with the right amount of power and impact can cause severe damage or worse, death. But don't you think it deviates from the principles of martial arts? As martial artists, we all should learn and understand that even though we learn and are trained to fight and inflict pain in whatever we do, values such as respect, peace, and harmony are still of great priority and in fact, such values are encouraged to be instilled in each and every practitioner rather than violence and aggression. In a sparring match, though we think of winning as our number one priority, ours and our opponent's safety are of great concern, and in fact, other than winning, it must be the other priority. Don't forget that taekwondo is already both a martial art and a sport and it encourages sportsmanship. Killing someone in a match is not a sign of being a good sport. Yes, killing somebody in a match would seem so "cool" and would definitely put you in the limelight but apart from that, what else does it mean? Killing somebody in a sparring match would not even mean that you are the best. Though I really don't know much about you but your views can speak a lot about yourself and you might have some inner issues to deal with. Or better yet, you're still too young to understand what taekwondo and martial arts really is aside from self defense, fighting, and physical activity.

The question is; is it possible to kill someone in a sparring match. The answer is Yes, it is possible. If the fighter applies enough speed, power and accuracy. And it also depends on the method of the fighter. There are many ways and many styles
