Why don't you eat a frog?

I have a phobia with frogs, just the looking at them is so scary. I can't imagine myself eating when I can't even look at them. Sorry, it gives me goosebumps right now.

I recall back in our province when I was still a young elementary student, my folks (grannies & relatives) and I would collectively go to the fields in the late afternoons and catch edible frogs in the ricefields. Next thing I know is that they have already cooked it 'adobo-style'. I'm sure you're familiar with this style of cooking. Young as I was, I had no qualms then of whether it was disgusting to each such dish - adobong palaka.
And as I remember, it really tasted like chicken. But that was almost 3 decades ago. I think if I was offerred a similar dish now, I would most likely decline from the offer.
I guess some things and times change. Then, I cared less if frogs were slimy or icky or gross; as long as the same were eaten by my folks and they stayed alive. Now, sensitivities develop with the same pace of knowledge in a lot of things and issues.
Anyway, I do miss the carefree and innocent times I spent when I was still a child. I must say that your discussion is a unique one, friend. Regards.

I haven't eaten a frog ever in my life and I am sure I would never like to try one either but my friends say, it is very tasty,tastier than the chicken.Back at my native, people do eat frog,a big one.They hunt for it actually.One can also find it in market if one is lucky.It is expensive too.

I used to eat when I was small when my grandma cooked it deliciously. But since she is no longer around I have not eating frogs for a long time. I know it taste more like chicken if not better. I wish to taste it again if I have the chance.

Hi there. Well, I do not like eating frogs, have never tried it and would never want to even if someone pays me, no matter how people just keep saying that it tastes just like chicken. The mere thought of what a frog looks like when alive makes my stomach churn, what more having that frog in my stomach. I know it would be cooked but whatever. People have always said I have quite a hyperactive imagination.

i wont eat a frog just because it sounds really yuk to me however i know a lot of people do. alot of people also eat pigs feet that sounds even worse to me.i dont know who the first person was that tryed all of this stuff but they had to of been really hungery.

I've been fascinated as to why people find eating frog legs as a delicacy, they like it. People have told me about their experience of it. Hearing it, I was like eeeewww!! Recently, I've managed to finally get the guts to try one. I only tasted it for a bit just so I know how it tastes like and what the fuss is all about. It did not impress me much. For me, it does not taste like chicken which I am a big fan of. They've said it tastes like chicken, but for me it doesn't. I don't think I'm going to eat any more frog legs.

I have never ate a frog. Although I have heard that frog legs taste like chicken. It sounds disgusting to me I don't think I will ever try eating a frog.

well if you want to know why it is not priced as a favorite on people's menu you should go see a frog in pond somewhere nearby.. everything about a frog is revolting to say the least... but..when you are tricked into eating frog meat after being told that it was chicken and you believe it and eat a whole bowl of it thinking its the best chicken you ever had in your life,then you learn to accept that things in life does not always go as you wanted...
