what do you have to say about this?

I feel that society in itself is making thieves!. the common person is kept down a the poor is made poorer....how can society punish what it creates to begin with?

He wanted to sell the goat for money and food...not drugs or drink but for a very good reason...for survival!

To punish a man in this way is nothing but brutal.......He should have help not humiliation.

You cannot create a thief then punish that which you have created to begin with

The man must have been hungry. If it were my brother I would tell him to give the goat back, and I would feed him and help him while he is down and out.

the cause of such case in nothing except poverty and if the man was really my brother i will be ashamed because of the fact that he brought embarrassment to the family,its such a pity case but i will still have to help him get settled and food to eat...

It's a pity. He has already been purnished and disgressed as a thief. So, no other action can redeem his image.

I'd feed him since he would be really hungry, then I'd return the goat to the owner and say 'sorry.. it was done out of desperation'.

His is a common situation. But what was done to him as punishment was inhuman. Infact the people who punished him have behaved worse than him by trying to play God.
