is microwave cooking safe?

Hi cuttyrish! Almost all of us have microwave ovens in our home and many of us don't realize the potential danger it can give us. This may be an explanation for the increased rate of colon cancer in America. * Regularly eating microwaved foods can cause an increase in cancerous cells in human blood. * The radiation dangers involved with microwaved food can cause decreased immune system function in humans. * There is even a mental danger to eating foods from a microwave. Regularly doing so can cause memory loss, emotional problems, and a decrease in intelligence. * A steady diet of microwave-cooked food can cause your body to shut down its hormones production. It is said that radiation cause cancer...and it is true to an extent. But not all radiation cause cancer. Sometime ago there was a debate in scientific community about the ill effects of Cellular phone..now it has been rest aside and we know that Cell Phone don't cause cancer or Brain Tumor... Microwave cooked food is germ free and it is more hygienic and as far as radiation is concerned, there are more radiation out there than sitting around microwave... Anyway it is better to probe and until a perfect scientific reason is not there enjoy your meal.........

just don't eat too much of salty food.i guess will be fine eat more fruit ,nothing due with that microwave. high temperature food like deep fry food may cause cancer ,so not because of microwave

If you search the internet enough, I'm sure almost everything *could* cause you cancer. To be honest as far as I know the only way you're going to be exposed to too much microwave radiation is if you actually sit inside the micro as its cooking, which I doubt you're gonna try to do, or if you have a faulty microwave, which is very unlikely because it would be sparking and you'd know about it. The only thing is if you take something straight out of the microwave and begin eating it - literally as soon as its 'pinged' then you could consume active microwaves. Thats because microwaves continue to cook food for a little bit after they have been created. That is the reason most things say 'allow to stand' for x amount of time. The chance of getting cancer though is still really low. I think you'd have to do that every time you eat even to stand a chance of it. I eat microwaved stuff all the time, have done for the past 10-15 years and I dont have cancer.
