do you put on your seatbelts while in your car???i used to find it irksome especially since i had my small kid on my lap but i do put it on as it is really life-saving and also i dont want to be fined.i see alot of youngsters not wearing seatbelts as they think it is cool but they are putting themselves in danger and also of those who are with him/her.

riyasam (10817) | 9 months ago | hi james,it is a law here in my country too but people somehow hoodwink the traffic police and think they are being smart.i started moving about when my daughter was one year old and even she used to be under the seat belt, thats a rule or we arent going anywhere(hope you are feeling fine, just wondering.................)

Aliceinwebland (4968) | 9 months ago | I agree with you there James, kids don't have the sense to think of buckling up and we need to be there to ensure thier safety.

James72 (6963) | 9 months ago | I'm feeling perfectly fine thanks Mable, it's just that this particular subject is an area I feel very strongly about. As I've said previously, I see unrestrained kids in cars every single day here and it makes me SO angry. I honestly feel like screaming at the Parents in the cars when I see this, I really do.
Alice, I agree with you entirely. It's every Parents responsibility to care for their children responsibly when it comes to transportation because kids just don't possess the same sense of reasoning. The bottom line is that there is NO excuse for having a young child sitting on someone's lap or moving freely around a moving car. Maybe people that do this need to be shown footage of a baby after it's hit a car windshield from the inside??? This is a horrible thing for me to be describing and I apologize for that, but it IS a potential reality of the situation I'm afraid.

2. tyc415 (4491) | 9 months ago | Yes we always wear our seatbelts. I do remember when it was not a law and didn't have to wear them. I figured when it was made a law that my husband would not wear his as he hated them but he really did surprise me and he always wears his also. I find it very disturbing to see children not buckled up and that is when I wonder why the police aren't around to see it and pull them over.

3. Aliceinwebland (4968) | 9 months ago | hiya riyasam
I don't drive but always wear one as a passenger in a car and make sure anyone elese I'm travelling with does the same. I often think about the taxis.. when it became law to wear a seat belt were they included too? I'm sure they were but I often see people not belting up in them! me included! and what about buses? It's baffling sometimes.
Alice:)

7. SaintAnne (1695) | 9 months ago | I do and I am always almost the first one to ask my passengers if they all had their seatbelts on before moving that car.
They have these signs on the freeway...
If you don't click it You get ticket...
or something to that effect.
Seatbelts should be worn at all times, people. It saved my cousin in the Philippines. He broke his nose during that accident but his companion flew through the windshield, not wearing a seatbelt.

riyasam (10817) | 9 months ago | it just shows how important it is to wear a seatbelt...now after years of travelling,i also make it sure thet the passengers have worn their seatbelts before starting the car.
