hi james,it is a law here in my country too but people somehow hoodwink the traffic police and think they are being smart.i started moving about when my daughter was one year old and even she used to be under the seat belt,thats a rule or we arent going anywhere(hope you are feeling fine,just wondering.................)

I agree with you there James, kids don't have the sense to think of buckling up and we need to be there to ensure thier safety.

I'm feeling perfectly fine thanks Mable, it's just that this particular subject is an area I feel very strongly about. As I've said previously, I see unrestrained kids in cars every single day here and it makes me SO angry. I honestly feel like screaming at the Parents in the cars when I see this, I really do.

Alice, I agree with you entirely. It's every Parents responsibility to care for their children responsibly when it comes to transportation because kids just don't possess the same sense of reasoning. The bottom line is that there is NO excuse for having a young child sitting on someone's lap or moving freely around a moving car. Maybe people that do this need to be shown footage of a baby after it's hit a car windshield from the inside??? This is a horrible thing for me to be describing and I apologize for that, but it IS a potential reality of the situation I'm afraid.

Oh and Mable, did you get those tests done today? If so, any results???

it is a unspoken rule that all have to put on their seatbelt,otherwise the outin will be cancelled.

maybe thats because most hit and run cases involve cars!!!

In my country, there have been on and off debates about seat belts in buses for a long time now. The challenges on this front appear to be many. For example, cost, maintenance and also enforcement. Nobody seems to be able to make up their mind who should be responsible for what, so it never gets off the ground.

aww i wish you would hon, just think if you're in the rear seat and your driver crashes, you could put the person in front of you life in danger too by crushing them. please think about it

my kids too sometimes make a fuss to wearing seatbelts but we have to be stern as it for their safety.

come to think of it,i also feeel at ease now,previously i used to feel so uncomfortable.

it just shows how important it is to wear a seatbelt...now after years of travelling,i also make it sure thet the passengers have worn their seatbelts before starting the car.

yes,i do feel embarrassed if i am pulled over for forgetting something which is so vital.

we can´t forget it because we used to itso make it habbit ok?

i live in mumbai,here it is compulsory to wear seatbelts,otherwise they fine you heavily or takes away the licencs

antiquelady,i have not learned driving till now,my hubby drives and he is quite forgetful,so when he sees a trafficpoliceman he atleast puts it on.

i have heard good about seat & i have heard bad. that's why i said i think it should be a person's choice as to whether they wear them or not.i'll admit i don't like being told what to do inn my own car or anywhere else. lol
