hope for patina'd fiberglass?

would anyone know anything that would lighten the patina on fiberglass?
we're renovating my mom's bathroom,and she has these shower walls..well.they were formerly white,now they're this yucky shade of beige from age.
i've tried bleach,and while it looked clean,it was no lighter.
replacement isn't an option...
is there anything someone knows of that might work?

this is all i could find to respond to and i was in hopes you'd found something to work by now. so sorry. Did you figure a way to have it blend in with matching beige things? btw, are you really sure it wasnt beige already? sometimes bathrooms were made in that color.

no,i was there when it was installed.
the tub half is still white,i guess my only options are replace the backsplash,or go with the beige color scheme.
i just hate to rip out something still functional though,albeit ugly.
