Another Korean War?  |

 As most of you know, there was a war in South Korea from 1950-1953. It involved the US and a variety of different factions fighting the North Korea and China.
Well, North Korea is getting ready to launch a nuclear missle. "A statement from the North's official Korean Central News Agency warns "if hostile forces make any slight move to intercept" the planned launch, the North's military will retaliate with force."

North Korea knows that we have the capability to destoy them; however, it may be that North Korea will join with China in the future in a war on the United States. China is building up a huge military force. China does not so many tanks and soldiers to defeat The Republic of China. China only needs a huge military to go to war with us. I think that China wants to attack the United States in order to send a lot of their people over here. If the United States has to face both the huge armies of North Korea and China, then that could be a problem.

Don't forget the country that is the only nuclear rogue nation is the US - no other country EVER has used a nuclear bomb except America. No other country goes and invades another country for oil. China never invaded Iraq, US did. No one goes on a killing and torture rampage except the US. I am sure you won't be aware of the image of the US across the globe living the US, because I know most Americans can't think of a world out of their own supremacy.
Why do you think China wants to attack the US? In fact, if the US feels threatened, then it will start another cold war with China, and China needs to defend itself. All the military capability of China is only in self defense, because for obvious reasons they cannot trust America.
The country responsible for most wars, most deaths, most weapons and most destruction in the world is America, not China. Start to acknowledge the truth. China has no reason to attack US, but US doesn't need a reason to attack, like Iraq. So China has to be careful. I fully support China.

 coldmoon (910) | 9 months ago |  I think that North Korea and China have allied for a long time. Five years ago I was in a observer group to visit North Korea. The 15 year old boys in this country were often as small as 10 year old boys in Europe. How could such a poor country have financial source for nuclear programs? So, the only possibility is the support from China. Yes, it's the way China like - attacking without appearing.
But I don't think that the US like to fight alone. In the G20 meeting, US, Japan, South Korean also ask a punishment for North Korean. And I think China will stand outside because it does't want to confess the role of supporter.
@->siddharlife: I doubt the truth you tell us to acknowledge. Do you know that in China, the citizens don't have the right to watch videos on Youtube? So do you think that Chinese Government always announce clearly their politics? I say no, they don't kill the other by oil, or weapons; they put melamine in your food, and many things else that I don't want to cite here. I just think there's no truth in the political world.

Though, I don't see much news about North in Indian Media, but what I know is that the economic condition of the country is not good. There is widespread hunger. In fact, during the six party talks they have specifically demanded stuffs to feed their citizens and off course oil.
There is another danger in this scenario. Terrorist organisation are ready to pay anything in exchage of deadliest arsenal. North Korea may have got the capability build the Nukes. If this is true then it is matter of deep concern since they may sell it to get hefty sum of money.
They should learn from South Korea. South Korea needs also to keep nuclear enabled missiles or allow the US to do so, so that they may thwart any eventuality.

6. mentalward (4282)  | 9 months ago |  I try hard to NOT notice articles like this. I was watching something or other with my husband on TV one night and they mentioned just how close were all were to annihilation quite a few times in recent history.
In 2004, we were a mere 7 minutes away from a full-blown nuclear war. I can't remember who it was with or if it was a world-wide thing but, only 7 minutes from our country "pushing the button" to send nuclear missiles, something happened to prevent it.
I don't like hearing things like this, simply because there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. I'd rather be left in the dark about matters like these, where I'd be absolutely defenseless and helpless to change the situation. IF it ever came down to a nuclear holocaust, I'd want to be killed instantly. There's no way I'd want to survive anything that bad because survival would only mean a slow death from radiation poisoning, starvation, disease or worse. I know this sounds morbid, but my husband and I agree, as do my children, that we would not want to survive a world-wide nuclear war.
We live only about 80 miles from Washington, D.C. and I think we all know that it would be one of the main targets in a nuclear war. We'd pretty much be blown out of existence within seconds after D.C. was hit. So, why worry about what we can't control? I'd rather spend what remains of my life enjoying it as much as possible than worrying about what might happen.

| mentalward (4282) | 5 months ago | Thank you for the BR, cher. I assume you heard that North Korea DID fire nuclear missiles toward the U.S. recently, am I right? From what I heard, they fired 6 missiles which were, thankfully, intercepted before they reached the U.S.
I've also heard that North Korea has been messing with our most secure internet services of the Department of Defense, the FBI, Homeland Security, etc. I've also heard about a lot of banking systems "going down" for days in a few cases and am wondering if N. Korea had anything to do with that.
I think they WANT a war but don't want to start it. They're just "poking" us to get us angry enough to declare war on them so they can blame us for starting it. It may be just my imagination but these are my thoughts on it. I HOPE I'm wrong but I do fear another war in the near future because the recession we're going through now is the worst since the Great Depression, right before we got into World War II. War always stimulates the economy but I'd much rather see a less extreme solution to our current recession than war. | |

Secondly the S.Koreans will react immediately if something happens. In any Case I am not a war freak and hope this dispute will be dealt with diplomatically.

Same with Britian. China hasn't been in a war for more than 30 or 40 years. And it's economics is developing so it wouldn't wanna slow that down. Russia that's hard to know what they'll do caz russia used to be allies with N.korea. Probaly the Un peace corps will do something.
