i uploaded some photo slideshow with music on it (no slideshow is good without music, we know that) but they blocked one of them informing me that the music i used was copyrighted. i am aware of that and even put disclaimer. how come they only block copyrighted materials from CWG? the one i uploaded 3 yrs ago and had about 150 views was just recently blocked? they will ask you to pick from their pre-selected music to bring your video online again. is that their way of promoting the company?

if using and/or uploading copyrighted musics/videos is not allowed, then, they should block almost half of their video database regardless what company owns it. wouldnt it be fair? what do you think?

YouTube didn't do much to enforce it's copyright policy until recently. I'm sure you've heard that Viacom and Warner Music Group have both been cracking down on keeping their copyrighted material off YouTube. Putting a disclaimer does not make you an exception to the rule.
There are some companies that allow their copyrighted material on YouTube, and have even given YouTube the rights to put them in their AudioSwap library.
Here's the deal with copyright... if you wrote it or filmed it... you own it. No government papers or official seal required. Technically everything on YouTube is copyrighted. It's when people use material that they do not legally own the rights to that it's against the rules. What YouTube wants is for everyone to use their own original work that they own the copyrights to, or at least to have the permission of the copyright holder.
No, it's not fair if they block everything copyrighted. Not every company, music artist, or filmmaker thinks that fans uploading their stuff to YouTube is bad. In fact, many of them see YouTube as a new audience and a new way to make money.
