in just about 8 hours, my girls are coming over for a movie marathon slash food trip. the theme for this reunion's movies is: latin dance, to reminice those college days when we lead easy lives and dancing nights. i am reviewing the movies on my list.

1. dirty dancing, the original. still brings that smile and sigh combination. i just realized the dancing is not that 'dirty' compared to the more recent dance moves, but this is still a feel-good movie for me.

2. dirty dancing, havanna nights. talk about h-o-t. i think diego luna is just right for the part, and the dancing, the music, i love. i'm prepared to screech.

3. dance with me. i only love the salsa scene, chaotic and fun.

Well one of my favorte dance movies is staying alive staring John Travolta, its a bit cheesy, but its still pretty fun and john Travolta looks so good in that omg lol he really had a nice bod in that one, and I liked the cheesy broadway dancing scenes and the music through out the film, and one of my favorte songs from the film is finding the hard way, by cynthia rodes and someone belonging to someone by the bee gees, all in all I really like the film. lol thumbup

Oh and I just wanted to make a correction, the song finding out the hard way was actually sang by cyntha rodes and written by frank Stallone its a good song, but I like the way cyntha rodes sang it.

yeah, cheesy-but-still-good old times. there was another movie where uma thurman and john travolta (pulp fiction) danced together again: be cool, and i found it hilarious. at least he dropped the bellbottom pants. lol ^_^V

Well, Dirty Dancing was the first movie that came to mind. I can never forget the dance number of Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey while I've Had th Time of My Life is playing in the background. What about the Step Up series? I can't remember which one I saw. I think it was Step Up 2, the one where Low by Flo'Rida was part of the soundtrack. It was a really good film. Well, at least to me it was. Also Stomp the Yard, although I don't know if it falls under the dance-movie genre.

hmn...yeah, the step up movies are also good, along with you got served: honey. i like the story, and i like the dancing as well. i still loved that scene in the original dirty dancing, simple, cheesy, and classic *wink wink* we ended up having to watch the dirty dancing movies and both movies of cutting edge--my girl friend had to come up with ideas for the dance interpretation for her 6th graders. lol.
