What are the benefits of Virgin Coconut oil?  

I used to use virgin coconut oil all the time, I don't know why I stopped. I would spread it on toast in the morning. Originally I wanted to use it lose weight. That doesn't work for me. But I did feel very healthy and have a lot of energy. It is also very good for you hair and skin. I like to put on my hair a couple of times a month and go sit out in the sun, kind of like a hot oil treatment. When I wash it out my hair is pretty and shiny. I also used to rub it into my skin at night time, it kept it soft and young looking.

My daughter claims that she breaks out from coconut oil, so you may want to try a small part of your skin first to make sure you can use it as with anything.

we are also using it, when i have severe cough due to tonsillitis, i just take virgin coconut oil. and i get better after few days. it is really a good anti bacteria.

yes, but did you know that there's a recent study being conducted here in the Philippines showing that it has an adverse effect on mice? that's why sooner or later, these virgin coconut oil will be banned and pulled out of the market. Let's wait for the confirmation of BFAD/DOH. :)

Ok, I'm clueless on virgin coconut oil. A friend of mine mentioned it to me just the other day, praising it for giving her energy. Where do you buy your's at? health food store or the net? Yes, I believe in its health benefits because I used to take it too before. My only problem with this is I found it difficult to swallow since it is oil. And also the taste and the smell is so bad. But I use it as hot oil for my hair. Just leaving it on for 1 hour, then shampoo it. My hair has never been better, they think that I go to salons for expensive treatment but they dont know that thats only because of virgin coconut oil.
