I cannot understand why people to not realize in how much jeopardy he is placing out country with his kiss a$$ Muslim policy.

he should have taken it a step further, and said something like 'Islam has the duty and responsibility to confront those that disgrace the Islam religion (i.e.,radicals,terrorists etc). That would have been good. Far less defeatist.

Um, there are less than 2 million Muslims living in the U.S. There aren't even 7 billion people total in the whole world--try googling a fact, at least, to check it before you just spout off a statistic. And Muslims are not a race; they're members of a religion. If you were to call her opinion anything, it would simply be bigoted, but it's not. I don't see how Islam can be called a religion of peace by so many of its proponents. I haven't seen too many suicide Christian bombers in the last decade or two. The fact is, Islam has many more militant followers who see America and Americans as enemies of their religion; hence Sept. 11th, 2001 and the repeated attacks in Afghanistan.

America is not an imperialistic country. We do not seek to colonize any other lands. We do want trade relations and we contribue millions, possibly billions, of dollars in humanitarian aid to other countries each year. I hear of countless military operations bringing medicines and food to third world countries--operations that hardly see any ink in the media. Does Iran conduct global humanitarian missions? Does Saudi Arabia?

I think Muslim communities here in the states as a whole would be much more welcomed if they would 'police their own.' If they're that worried about the reputation of Muslims and truly want to be American citizens, then why don't they act a little more concerned in the welfare of ALL Americans?

angel I have no idea why you want to fight I don't even know you, but look up the word racist and prejudice in the dictionary that will start,

as far as people knowing about other cultures that is a good thing, not a bad one, if you don;t like my comments you really don't have to read them, and vice versa,

it doesn't mean that people always understand when their remarks are racist, they are not always intending to hurt other people by them, but it happens and to make a better world where we all can get along we have to try and be sensitive to people,

I am not talking about terrorists here, nobody will be sensitive to terrorists, but to poor people who happen to be of the same race or religion who have nothing to do with terrorists they are being blamed for things that did not do, or would ever do.

Even people who only look like a muslem are being hurt by this, I am many people I know have seen this happen over and over again,

so try to look at it as finding a way to get along with ordinary people who have nothing to do with racism but are just the same as you and me.

so pardon me for putting 5 billion because that is what the first place said, but I think the second stat is more accurate it cited the survey source if you read the article, in any event, we can agree that the right stat is somewhere between what you got from your research and I got from mine, these are both internet sources and so either one or neither of them could be right.

the main point was that there are decent muslims in the country and they are being blamed for things they didn't do. All I am trying to point out is to blame the terrorists all you want or anybody wants for that matter, nobody likes terrorists nor should they,

but not the average person. some of the nicest people I have known in my life time have been muslems, but muslems are like anybody else some are nice some are arrogant some uneducated some are very educated, they are like the average white person, their religion is different but that is fine
