I am Chinese myself and get used to Chinese food already. but......if it is the insides, insects, pet (cats, dogs & rabbits) I won't touch it still. Personally, I like Japanese Cuisine more than Chinese Cuisine although there are still many Chinese dishes I prefer. And Chinese cuisines can subdivided into so many districts like its dialect. Cantonese dishes is one of the most popular amongst all. (and they can eat anything!!!! cockroaches, crickets....yuck! On the other hand, sweet & sour pork / fish, as well as salty chicken is nice). There are too many to be listed. Dim sum is well known. The way they do the fish & sea food is nice too. Crispy roast piglet, roast chicken, roast pigeon. Fried rice, fried noodles, fried pasta. My word!! Stew, baked... they are doing the food in so many different ways. I can really write an article about on the topic. Cantonese cuisine are famous of soups as well. The southeast Chinese make a lot of soups and they are so delicious. yum, yum yum. I am not the type to enjoy hot spicy food but I know a lot of people enjoy that. If you want hot, you go for Sichun Cuisine. The taste of Sichun Cuisine is really strong. And there are still so many other different cuisines I haven't mentioned, Peking Cuisine, "Shanghai" Cuisine, "Xian" cuisine...... I am really amazed at the food culture of Chinese. So, what kind of Chinese cuisine so far and which one you like most?

I am a Cantonese, but I haven't see many people eating the strange things you mentioned, maybe I live in Hong Kong, that's why I am different from Cantonese in mainland. My hubby is a Shanghainese, the "Shanghai Cuisine" is good, and I love other cuisine as well.
