I served in the US Army for 3 years...1 of which I spent in Iraq, and believe it or not, I miss it. During that time I really felt like I had a purpose in life, my total additude towards life changed and I got so much closer to my family.
Now, I can reep the benefits of being a veteran in a couple of different ways. All the running messed up my knees which is bad, but I get 10% disability for it. I'm also looking forward to buying a home and having some help from the VA to guarantee my loan.
Anyone else?

I did a 4 year hitch in the Navy in the 70s. At times I wish that I had stayed in and retired, but my husband was against my staying in, so I got out. I traveled all over Europe while in the Navy and really enjoyed my duty. I worked hard and played hard.lol
If I had known the marriage wasn't going to make it I would have stayed in. 20/20 Hindsight.
