Anyone ever heard of this company Yadu Investment Co.,Ltd | | I check my email and I have a email from this company in China. It states they are a domain registration company, and someone in China wants to register my website name with cn after dot.com. They want me to respond in 5 days if its okay. I think it's some kind of scam, and I don't know what to do. I am unsure what the scam is. If you have dealt with this company or company like this one please advise. I made sure my website name was different by mispelling the word so I am perplexed.

I your gut is telling you not to trust it, i would go with your gut. Besides, what do they offer you? Are they selling anything or promising anything? That is what i would look for. If they want anything out of you, there is a scam. i hope there is someone else around here that can help you out. Wish that I could! I tried;) lol

| cybersafe (1) | 9 months ago | I've received several of emails from this company. I have just ignored them. If you search for the "Yadu" company, nothing legitimate comes up and you can't access the website of the company sending the emails. Probably a scam.
But, the best way to legally protect yourself is to trademark your domain name.
As for these emails from this company, I'm just going to continue to ignore them.

| anchorageny (1) | 9 months ago | I've received an email from a China telecommunications company joy@tech-wifi.com saying that “Yadu Investment Co., Ltd.” wants to register a domain name I own. This is a different twist on your string to date. It was picked up by my spam filter but one wonders whether this is genuine or not. They certainly used one of our website email addresses to send the inquiry under the subject line "Notice of Intellectual Property Protection".

| anchorageny (1) | 9 months ago | My internet Guru says that the registrars are bogus and that the plot is to make you buy internet names you don't want at rip off prices. Check out the sites www.tech-wifi.com & www.ntwifinetwork.com which are not quite mirrors. A who-is at www.netsol.com is also quite interesting and points to con-artists.

| FPSAMI (1) | 9 months ago | I just got this email from a person named margaret@js-wifi.cn telling me that Yadu Investment Co. Ltd wants to register all the china domain names of my company, and if I was interested, she would give me priority to register with them. It seems like they just are fishing for business and and trying to create a sense of urgency as to get someone to quickly go and register with them. This must be breaking some internet etiquette rule.

Those of you who belong to professional associations, societies etc, might pass on a warning to colleagues to be alert to this scam. Bill Doult - The Therapy Partnership

I manage several websites for clients and will let them know that this is a scam. Thanks to everyone who responded to the post and verified my suspicions. - Jill

| okcjeff (1) | 8 months ago | Same thing happened to us today, and I replied to them before bothering to do a simple Google search. I was going to paste Sunny's response but this website won't let me, but it basically just said if I didn't want Yadu Investments to register my websites, they would send me an application form. They also claimed that this company was trying to register our "Internet brand" - no such thing and so obviously a scam that I am embarrassed that I replied at all, but I did it because I am actually located in Beijing where this company supposedly is located. Had I even bothered to check the supposed Beijing phone numbers that are listed, I would have seen that they are not even valid Beijing phone numbers. Just ignore these scammers and they will go away, or better yet, report them to whoever you can so that everyone knows about them.
