Do you think items sold in departmental stores are costlier than ordinary markets. I think they add extra costs to raise their installation cost? what's your view?

I think some department stores raise the costs of some items because I can find the same items at other stores for cheaper prices. Department stores sometimes have larger costs, so I think they raise the prices to help those costs.

Yes I also have seen this. But not sure whether others feel so. So I raise this discussion.

There was one year I was heading off to the snow. I wanted to get a water proof jacket for the trip. My mother and I went to the markets and looked at the jackets. We then decided to go to a department store. To my suprise and my mother's, we found a jacket that was cheaper than at the markets.
I really think that we all need to know the prices of things and decide where to buy them from. Markets can be cheaper, but then some times the stores can be cheaper.
