This time it was the turn of Naveen Jindal, sitting M.P from kurukshetra seeking a re elelection. He was addressing a meeting when a crap from the audience hurled him a shoe, that too without any reason. And the things like this are bound to happen in future as this time also he escaped without any punishment. The case was different with the sikh journalist as he had proper cause, on what congress put a stamp by dropping Tytler and Sajjan Kumar. But what happened this time was utter nonsense and the person behind it should have punished accordingly.

the guy was drunk and his son was thrown outta job but true no justification for what he did. I think from next election, rallies are gonna be like religious places, keep your shoes outside!!

The people who lost jobs there were all due to there fault as they were taken on job just to make some votes by I.N.L.D govt, when its term was about to end, so they were bound to loose them as the procedure was illegal. Ya you are rite people have to put thereshoes out of leaders have to put helmets on if it goes on like this..lol

From the episode of shoe throwing incident on Bush it has become a fashion now a days to protest. I think it is not the way to show your anguish or protest. pkc3000

lol =D This is the 3rd time it happen after it happened to George Bush of USA, and Premier Wen of china.. lol =D I wonder why will those protestors wanna throw shoes instead of other things?? Or izit because of the trend started in USA that prompt it again?? lol =D Besides, for all the 3 incidents, there are no punishments being meted out to those offenders and thus i think that's the reason as to why they keep throwing.. haha =D

Don't you think it is becoming dangerous too! Who knows people might use explosive in that shoe and once it will reach the politician, it will explode. Who knows? We have seen human bomb in Mr. Rajiv Gandhi's Murder. This time may be a shoe bomb! Any case, this is ridiculous. I was very happy to see that none of the Indian politician recieved such kind of activity from us. I always used to thought that Indian voters are more intelligent that other countries but these incidents made my face a little down against all of them.

Yes, it is easy and it is way of gaining popularity as well. Naveen Jindal and chidambaram are good politician they don't deserve shoes. Only corrupt politician deserve this but they are always safe from shoes.

At least, in this case he should have been punished. There is no follow up news here in Bihar about him, but I think he is free.

May be he is in jail, but by punishment i mean something like after what one thinks twice about the consequences before doing such acts.

see throwing shoes at politician is not the way to protest because its only the wasy to show your frustration and nothing else as many people says that this is the best way to protest against someone but you tell me you can throw shoes for one and than you have to run away so this cant help you in protesting as no one is able to know your objective and you will get no conclusion from this so in my accordance is not the best way to protest and also this can cause harm consequence to you.

Yes its disgusting, specially when without any reason or just to get publicity, which was not the case with that sikh journalist, he had a good reason for it.
