I am being asked to move.(kicked out) becasue of this? What do you think? | | Hi All, I will try to summarize this as best I can.
I have been renting the place I currently live in for 7 years now, I met my landlords brother, we got together, have a 3 year old and we all reside here now.
I received a phone call from my landlord/bro-in-law telling me that his new wife (of 2 years), she is also very strange if you as me, but oh well. Well he stated that her (the new wife)'s daughters wanted to move from Florida to New York weher we are now; and the wife wants them to live in the apartment that myself, husband (landlords brother), my son (landlords nephew) and my mother who recently moved in with us after the death of my father. Well, these daughters that want to move up are not young children, they are 28 and 32, so they are young women. Well I was given 6 weeks to find a place and move out, this includes getting enough money saved for rent and security.
My Landlord/bro-in-law says he will try to help us out in finding a place, he found one, a rat infested nasty lil apt that looks like it was plopped on a pile of blacktop!
My question is, am I wrong for being upset at this entire situation? Forget about me and my mother, he (landlord) is kicking out his own brother and his 3 year old nephew, which I think is messed up! I am trying to be very cordial about this situation, I am very hurt. I mean to make a major move from Florida to New York without having any job or a place to live does not sound very responsible, so it seems that we have to pay for their irresponisbility. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

nanciem (391) | 9 months ago | Hi Jess,
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and respond.
I agree, I feel THEY should find somewhere to reside; not that we have to uproot our entire family because they "need a change", well we were so not ready for a change right now, the decision was made for us. As I stated I have been here 7 years, no problems whatsoever until recently; last year the "landlord's wife" actually told her husband to have us move my 2 year old (at the time) sandox down about 10' because she didn't want to see us playing when she was looking out the window, isn't that weird??
And now this, I cannot say how upset I am, as well as shcoked!
Thank you again for your time!
Nancie
