It seems 99% of us using the Fast Internet Connection, either cable or DSL. A few percentage only still using dial - up connection. On radio one day, a lady call in and ask advice on fast internet connection; she explained where she live, she couldn't find any available Fast - Internet connection service. I was surprised to hear that. I thoguht that Cable or DSL are available everywhere. They should cover the map of the states.

My grandparents live out in the country, not really close to anything and they can't get cable or DSL. The cable companies have to service the area for you to become a customer and it just isn't worth it for them to install the power grid and hardware for one or two people that MIGHT become customers. They are looking at getting satilite internet. I don't know much about it, but they said it's an option that's faster than dial-up.

The satellite is there only option at this point. They would just need the dish set up. Also, even better they can get the "magic jack" (magicjack.com) for they phone situation and save them hundreds of dollars a year regarding there phone bill.
